If you are considering a vineyard work, looking to earn $$$.Vineyard work can be very exciting and rewarding, but requires "can do attitude",lots of energy. Just bring a hat, lots of water, sunscreen and plenty to eat and drink. The beautiful scenery,sun tan and fresh air are an added bonus.

We offer hourly work and contract work.The hourly rate shall be $12.00 /hr inclusive 6%holiday pay.The contract price shall be " per vine basis" varies from vineyard to vineyard and variety to variety and inclusive of 6%holiday pay.
Wages are paid weekly by direct credit to your nominated bank accounts.
The job involves:
General vineyard development work
Leaf plucking
Second set off
Clipping anti-bird nets
hand harvesting

IRD Tax Number
In order to work and to get taxed properly in New Zealand you need to obtain a tax number from the New Zealand Government. You can apply for this whilst in NZ or before you leave your home country. Don't worry this isn't as hard as it sounds:
1) Download the Tax Number Application Form (IR596) from the Inland Revenue website (www.ird.govt.nz)
2) Print out and complete the application form you have downloaded. Please note you need to have a permanent address in New Zealand to get your tax number.
3) Get a photocopy of your passport and attach to the application form.
4) Either post or fax your application to NZ Inland Revenue. To fax send to (0)3-3536691 or 03-3536649. To post to send to one of the office below:

5) Your IRD number confirmation will be sent to the address you supply within 8-10 days
NZ Tax Refunds
Some travellers will be eligible for tax refunds when they leave New Zealand. However, you must make a formal claim in order to have this paid to you. In order to get your tax refund quickly, you must be able to provide the IRD with either a bank account number, into which your refund can be paid, or a Visa or other credit card account, where the amount owing to you can be deposited.
Approximately one month before you leave New Zealand, contact the Inland Revenue Department Service Centre (Free phone 0800 227 774). Tell them that you are an non-resident who has been working in New Zealand, and wish to claim tax owing to you. They will send you the appropriate forms for you to complete when you have finished working. Return the forms to the Inland Revenue Department before leaving New Zealand together with your bank details.
